Welcome to Sli.ink! Please read these terms of use carefully before using our service. Sli.ink is a link shortener that also provides QR codes, password-protected and expiring links, country-based redirects, click analytics, link-in-bio pages, file requests, and API access ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.
- 1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering and using the Sli.ink Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms. - 2. Eligibility and Age Requirement
a. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
b. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use does not violate any law applicable to you. - 3. Description of the Service
a. The Service allows you to create, manage and share shortened links, optionally with custom aliases, QR codes, passwords, expiry rules, click limits and country-based destinations.
b. The Service also provides link-in-bio pages (a single shareable page holding multiple links, social profiles and articles), file requests and file collection, API tokens, on-redirect webhooks, and, on the paid "Pro" plan, additional features and higher rate limits.
c. Some features may be offered on a free basis and others as part of a paid subscription. We may add, change, limit or discontinue features at any time. - 4. Storage of User Data
a. When you register with Sli.ink, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and to keep it up to date.
b. By registering, you consent to the storage and processing of your data on our servers. This includes your account information (such as name, email address and, where applicable, a securely hashed password), authentication and session data, the links and link-in-bio pages you create, redirect and page-view events, analytics records, uploaded files, and billing references associated with a Pro subscription.
c. Storing, processing and deleting your data is described in the Privacy Policy below. - 5. Your Content and Responsibility for Links
a. You are solely responsible for the shortened links, custom aliases, destinations, link-in-bio pages, social links, articles, uploaded files and all other content you create, upload, store or share using the Service ("Your Content").
b. You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights and permissions to use Your Content, that Your Content does not infringe the rights of any third party, and that Your Content does not violate any law.
c. You grant the Owner a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display Your Content solely to the extent necessary to operate, provide and improve the Service.
d. The Owner does not review all content and does not endorse any destination reached through a shortened link or link-in-bio page. - 6. Prohibited and Illicit Use (Acceptable Use Policy)
a. You agree not to use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose or in violation of any applicable law, and not to abuse the Service.
b. In particular, you must not use the Service to create, host, redirect to, or distribute links, pages, files or content that: contain malware, spyware, ransomware or other harmful code; are part of phishing, spoofing, fraud or scams; infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual property; contain unsolicited or bulk advertising (spam); involve child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors; promote violence, terrorism, hate or harassment; involve illegal goods, drugs, or weapons; violate privacy or data-protection rights; or are otherwise defamatory, obscene or unlawful.
c. You must not attempt to circumvent passwords, quotas, expiry rules, rate limits or other technical protections, nor probe, scan, overload or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, nor use the Service to send excessive automated requests.
d. The Owner reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate any account and to disable or remove any link, page, file or content found to be in breach of this section, with or without notice. - 7. Password-Protected Links and File Requests
a. If you use password protection you are responsible for choosing and safeguarding the password and for deciding who may access the destination.
b. File requests allow third parties to upload files to you. You are responsible for the file requests you create, for setting appropriate limits (maximum file size, file count and allowed file types), and for reviewing any files you receive. We do not scan, verify or guarantee the safety, legality or accuracy of uploaded files, and you accept the risks of receiving files from third parties. Files are stored on your behalf and are subject to the storage limits of your plan. - 8. Third-Party Login Providers
a. Users may choose to use a third-party login provider to access the Service. In such cases, your login information is handled by the third-party provider, and we do not store or have access to your login credentials. - 9. Payments, Subscriptions and Refunds
a. Certain features require a paid subscription ("Pro") or the use of a license/promo code. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms and authorise recurring charges until you cancel.
b. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access to Pro features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
c. Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of changes that affect your subscription.
d. License and promotional codes are provided at our discretion, may be time-limited or usage-limited, and may be revoked if abused or obtained unlawfully.
e. Where a pay-per-use option (such as x402) is made available, the applicable terms will be presented before payment. - 10. API Tokens and Webhooks
a. API access lets you create and manage links programmatically. You are responsible for keeping your API tokens confidential and for all activity carried out with them. Revoke any token that you believe has been compromised.
b. If you configure an on-redirect webhook, you are responsible for the endpoint you provide and for how you process the data it receives. We are not liable for data sent to endpoints you control or for the actions of the systems consuming your webhooks. - 11. Link Storage, Disabling and Removal
a. All web links shortened using the Service are stored on our servers, together with related events and statistics.
b. The Owner reserves the right to disable or remove any link, page, file or content at any time for government or law-enforcement requests, valid legal process, reports of abuse, or any other reason if the content is deemed illicit or in breach of these terms.
c. Unregistered users can request the removal of their long link content and the corresponding shortened link by sending an email to [email protected]. This option is only available to unregistered users. - 12. Copyright and Takedown Requests
a. We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content hosted through the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us at [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify the content and the right concerned.
b. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
c. We operate a repeat-infringer policy and will act on valid takedown requests within a reasonable time. - 13. Analytics and Monitoring
a. The Service records events when shortened links are clicked and when link-in-bio pages are viewed or their links clicked. These events may include an anonymised (hashed) IP address, derived country and city, referrer, a hashed/parsed user-agent, and a bot indicator.
b. This data is used to generate statistics for link and page owners and to keep the Service secure. See the Privacy Policy for details. - 14. Server Downtimes and Content Loss
a. The Owner does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service and shall not be held liable for any server downtimes or content loss.
b. Users acknowledge that the Service may be unavailable temporarily for maintenance or other reasons beyond the Owner's control. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any content or data that is important to you. - 15. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Owner does not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected, nor that any link, page, file or data will be preserved or reachable. - 16. Limitation of Liability
a. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising out of or in connection with the Service.
b. The Owner is not liable for any illicit or unauthorised use of the Service by users and disclaims any liability for the content of shortened links, link-in-bio pages, uploaded files and their consequences.
c. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Owner's total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to the Owner for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or twenty (20) euros.
d. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law. - 17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Owner from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to Your Content, your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. - 18. Termination and Suspension
a. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
b. The Owner may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or delete your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, links, pages, files and related data may become unavailable or be deleted. - 19. Privacy and GDPR
a. Sli.ink complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and processes personal data as described in the Privacy Policy below.
b. Users can request the removal of their personal data by submitting a request through email to[email protected]. - 20. Third-Party Services
The Service may include links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by ShortLi, and relies on third-party providers (for example for authentication, payment processing, file storage and IP geolocation). ShortLi has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that ShortLi shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services. - 21. Changes to Terms
Users are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms of Use. The Owner reserves the right to modify or replace these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last Updated" date indicates the most recent revision. - 22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
a. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
b. To the extent permitted by law, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the Owner's place of establishment, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. - 23. Miscellaneous
a. Severability: If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
b. Entire agreement: These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Owner regarding the Service.
c. Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
d. Force majeure: The Owner is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Sli.ink collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Service, including shortened links, link-in-bio pages and file requests.
- 1. Information We Collect
a. Account information: personal information you provide during registration, including but not limited to your name and email address, along with account settings and preferences. Where password login is used, we store passwords only in a securely hashed form and never in plain text.
b. Authentication data: session and login data required to keep you signed in, account-verification and password-recovery tokens, and security counters used to prevent abuse (for example repeated failed logins).
c. Link and page data: the links and custom aliases you create, destination URLs, geo-routing rules, expiry settings, and the content of your link-in-bio pages (profile details, avatar and banner images, social links, articles and theme settings).
d. Redirect and interaction data: when users click on shortened links or view/interact with link-in-bio pages, we may collect the referrer, an anonymised (hashed) IP address, country and city derived from the IP address, a hashed or parsed user-agent, and whether the visitor appears to be a bot.
e. File data: files uploaded through file requests, including original file name, size, type and storage metadata. Files are stored encrypted.
f. Billing data: if you subscribe to Pro, references to your payment provider (Stripe) customer and subscription identifiers and transaction records. We do not store full card details; payments are handled by Stripe. - 2. How We Use Your Information
a. We use your information to provide and improve the Service, to create and resolve shortened links and link-in-bio pages, to authenticate you and secure your account, to process payments, to customise your experience, and to communicate with you.
b. General location information about the redirected user, which may include country, region, or city, is collected for statistical analysis and to enhance the user experience. The city data is an estimate based on the IP address and not a precise location.
c. We use security and anti-abuse data to prevent fraud, spam and other misuse. - 3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service you requested), legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, analytics and anti-abuse), consent (where required, for example for optional communications), and compliance with legal obligations. - 4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We may use additional cookies for basic functionality and, where required, we will seek your consent. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in. - 5. Link Analytics and Statistics
a. We collect data on link clicks and may provide aggregated and anonymised statistics to users for their shortened links.
b. To protect privacy, IP addresses associated with redirect events are stored in a hashed form, and statistics are aggregated by country and city rather than tied to identifiable individuals. Bot traffic is separated from human traffic so that reports reflect real engagement. - 6. Link-in-Bio Analytics
Link-in-bio pages record page views and per-link clicks. As with shortened links, this data may include a hashed IP address, derived country and city, referrer, user-agent information and a bot indicator, and is used to provide aggregate performance statistics to the page owner. - 7. File Uploads and Storage
Files uploaded through file requests are stored encrypted on our infrastructure (hosted on AWS S3) and are accessible only as configured by the request owner, including optionally via public download links if the owner enables them. Your use of file storage counts against the storage limit of your plan. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and store any files you receive. - 8. Third-Party Login Provider
a. Users may choose to use a third-party login provider to access the Service. In such cases, your login information is handled by the third-party provider, and we do not store or have access to your login credentials. - 9. Payment Processing
Subscription payments and billing are handled by Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment details and we receive only the information necessary to manage your subscription (such as customer, subscription and transaction references). Stripe acts as an independent data controller for the payment data it processes under its own privacy policy. - 10. Sharing of Information
a. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties.
b. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website and delivering the Service (for example authentication, payment, file-storage and IP-geolocation providers), as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
c. We may disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or government request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety and security of the Service, our users or the public. - 11. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. Some records (such as aggregated statistics or billing records) may be retained in anonymised or legally required form. - 12. Security of Your Information
a. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including hashing of passwords and IP addresses, encryption of uploaded files, and access controls.
b. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API tokens confidential. - 13. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including by our service providers. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable data-protection law. - 14. Your Rights
a. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, update, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
